Thanks to the wide variety of HAMA iron-on templates and beads, you can make beautiful plastic designs and complete your iron-on design. The coloured beads, the different shaped and sized boards, the special papers and the idea booklets can be purchased in different sets, but also separately, allowing you to choose exactly the right package for your design.
Making designs:
1. Place the beads, one by one, on the pegboard to create a pattern. You can take inspiration from our ideas or create new designs.
2. Important: because of the temperature, ironing must be done by an adult! Place the ironing paper on the pattern. Use a regular iron to melt the beads together, creating a permanent design. The special paper is to protect the iron, preventing small amounts of plastic from getting on it.
Apply the iron to the paper for just a few seconds in circular motions. Do not hold the iron still as it will damage the nails! If you avoid burning them, you’ll be able to use the boards over and over again. We recommend ironing a smaller area to test the set temperature before ironing the whole design.
Do not overheat the beads! After ironing for a short time, the colours of the beads will be more clearly visible through the paper, which means you are finished. Once ironed, the beads cannot be used again.
3. Once the beads have cooled (within 2-5 minutes), you can remove the pattern from the board.
